Due to the coronavirus 93rd annual Oscar ceremony may be held in additional European locations.

The ceremony organizers said the decision on additional seats in London and Paris was made after many candidates expressed doubts that due to the third wave of the coronavirus in Europe, the nominees would not be able to travel to Los Angeles.

According to the official statement, guests arriving in the United States must undergo a 10-day quarantine to ensure the safety of ceremony participants. Organizers say they will cover all the expenses related to the isolation of the guests.

Ceremony producer Steven Soderbergh stressed that organizers are working to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection.

The Oscar ceremony will be held on April 25 in Los Angeles.
