The Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth of Georgia Tea Tsulukiani met with the Director-General of the UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay, in Paris.
As the press service of the Ministry of Culture informed report.ge the Minister talked about the urgent need to protect Georgia's cultural heritage in the occupied territories and stressed the responsibility of the Russian Federation in these territories, which the Strasbourg court unequivocally confirmed on January 21.
The meeting also covered the most important event in Tbilisi, "Tbilisi - World Book Capital," which is implemented under the auspices of UNESCO. In addition, the activities of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth of Georgia in the direction of creative industries were emphasized, and among them, the Ministry's LEPL "Creative Georgia" was mentioned. According to the Minister, it should become a leading organization within the Ministry of Culture that will work in this direction.
