"Vardzia rock complex received the European Cultural Heritage Award, Europa Nostra Prize," the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia spreads information.
"The nomination application submitted by Georgia to the European Commission and the organization Europe Nostra became one of the winners along with eight other nominees, who were named as exemplary achievements in the conservation category. In 2021, the Europe Leading Award was given to 24 projects from 18 European countries in seven different nominations.
From May 26, citizens of the World Heritage Sites will have the opportunity to vote for the winner of the "Community Favorite" award. The winner of this prize will be announced at the European Heritage Awards Ceremony in October. The winners of the Grand Prix will be revealed as well; they will receive 10,000 Euros as a prize," says the information shared by the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation.
