A 37-year-old man was detained in Saburtalo district, Tbilisi, due to injuries inflicted on his nephew.
According to the investigation, the accused intentionally inflicted minor damage on a 17-year-old teenager with a cold weapon on the grounds of a dispute.
Neighbors said the conflict between the uncle and nephew took place over the apartment.
"He was not seriously injured; he had minor injuries," said Giorgi Gigoshvili.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the investigation is underway under 11 Prima, Article 120, Part 2, Subparagraph "a" of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which stipulates intentional minor damage to the health of a minor by a family member with prior knowledge. The offense carries a maximum sentence of 2 to 4 years in prison.
