The police have ended the special operation on Tsereteli Avenue after releasing hostages and arresting the captor.
"We have successfully completed our mission. All hostages are free and unharmed. The assailant has been arrested," Vazha Siradze, the head of the Interior Ministry's Patrol Police Department, said.
The gunman has gradually released his eleven victims after negotiating with representatives of the MIA.
The name of the captor who broke into the micro-finance organization is Levan Zurabishvili. He started live-streaming on social media a couple of hours ago; however, the live-streaming was suddenly stopped, and he asked a hostage to help him live-stream again.
The offender's requirements were as follows: the abolishment of gambling, reduction of loan interest rates to 7 percent, and reduction of prescription drug costs. He wanted the parliament to be summoned and amendments approved.
