The Interior Ministry of Georgia responds to the Africa settlement developments and releases a statement.
According to the Ministry, an investigation has been launched into alleged suicide that occurred on March 23 in Tbilisi, Africa settlement.
The Ministry reports that police identified the deceased shortly – a minor, identified only as S.Ts., born in 2006.
“Specialized investigators have engaged in the case,’’ the Ministry stated.
The deceased minor’s clothes, in particular, shoes, have been seized from the scene, while the deceased’s bag was found on a roof of a residential building located nearby.
Several items have also been seized, the Ministry reports, adding about 20 witnesses were interrogated.
“Investigative and operative proceedings continue to identify the causes for what happened,’’ the statement reads.
