"The Ministry of Internal Affairs will not leave unanswered false information repeatedly and purposefully disseminated by the "Formula" TV company. Shortly, a legal response will be made, and the ministry will protect the dignity of its employees in court," the Georgian Interior Ministry reacted to the report of the "Formula "TV.

The report showed how a Skoda car with state numbers escorts a sex worker and a pimp to their destination.

The department says the person mentioned in the story, at the time indicated by the program, was not in the indicated area and did not use a car with state numbers shown on the air.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that the TV channel and the author of a specific story, mainly, repeated false information in the form of allegations that the police allegedly violate the law and patronize citizens involved in prostitution.

"Neither in previous cases nor today the TV company provides viewers with any evidence of a violation of the law by the police," the Interior Ministry stated.
