GYLA disapproves of Tbilisi City Court's 'loyal approach' to Kakha Kuchava's case

The Georgian Young Lawyers' Association (GYLA) has defined the Tbilisi City Court's decision to exempt the Chairman of the Georgian parliament Kakha Kuchava from the obligation to pay GEL 2,000 for showing up at the polling station on Oct 2 with Georgian Dream promoting face mask as ''a loyal approach'' preventing proper responses to instances of election-related law violations.

On Oct 2, Kakha Kaladze arrived at a polling station wearing a Georgian Dream face mask.

The GYLA filed a lawsuit against the chairman to the CEC on Oct 12, which transferred the case to the Tbilisi City Court for discussion.
