"Investigation into the possible pressure from policemen on Vakhtang Robakidze launched," the State Inspector's Service reported.
According to the agency, the investigation was launched under Article 333, part 3 of the Criminal Code of Georgia on abuse of power.
Vakhtang Robakidze, who was arrested on charges of threatening MP Anri Okhanashvili, said police pressured him while Okhanashvili was in the police station.
Anri Okhanashvili denies allegations and believes that this is a provocation.
The incident took place on January 14 in one of the restaurants in Bakuriani, where Anri Okhanashvili, the Chairperson of the Parliament's Legal Affairs Committee, had dinner with his family.
