Three people accused of assaulting journalist Vako Sanaia are still being held in custody by police. Judge Ketevan Jachvadze announced the corresponding verdict in the Tbilisi City Hall.
The prosecutor demanded that arrest be left effective as the remand measure as he considered the accused assailants might have fled or destroyed the evidence.
The defendants' lawyers required that their clients be released on GEL 4,000 bail.
Journalist Sanaia and his spouse were assaulted. The journalist links the attack to his professional activities.
The perpetrators face charges under three articles.
