Judge dismissed 2 people arrested during rally from courtroom

Irakli Nadiradze, the member of the National Movement, detained on November 18, was dismissed from the courtroom.

"No evidence was presented against me, even though thousands of police officers were wearing the badge cameras. It does not look like a fair trial", Nadiradze said.

The judge dismissed another person, Dimitri Bidzinashvili, for insulting the court.

Sergo Ratiani, a member of European Georgia, was also expelled from the courtroom. Ratiani said the judge dismissed him because he smiled.

The detainees are being investigated under Articles 166 and 173 of the Administrative Code, which implies imprisonment for 15 days or financial sanction.

The trial of the detainees started yesterday, but was postponed several times and continued late at night. The city court temporarily released 6 persons detained at the rally.
