A psychiatric examination revealed a juvenile mother convicted of killing her 7-month-old child is suffering from diminished responsibility.
Report.ge contacted Ermile Cheishvili, the lawyer of the mother who neither denied nor confirmed the allegations.
“I can neither deny nor confirm this information. The case is related to a minor which is why I don’t want to talk about the details. All kinds of examinations were carried out at the request of the prosecution. If the family and my client will allow me to comment on the case I will do so”, Cheishvili told Report.ge.
Diminished responsibility means a situation where a person due to mental illness was unable to fully understand and control her actions.
Gori District Court has sentenced a minor convicted of murder to eight years in prison.
In the village of Agaiani, Kaspi Municipality minor killed her child in bed, left her family and hid. A 16-year-old woman was arrested on May 21.
