Alexander Kobaidze, the lawyer of Giorgi Getiashvili, who was arrested in the case regarding the murder of 35-year-old Davit Mumladze, has filed a petition for bail of GEL 500,000 as a preventive measure against his client. The defendant himself agreed to the half-a-million bail.
As for the other defendants, their lawyers are demanding their release on bail of GEL 10,000. According to the lawyers, the detainees did not participate in the assassination of Davit Mumladze and his imprisonment.
The Rustavi City Court is discussing the case of 5 people detained over the murder case of Davit Mumladze. Zurab Jgharkava charged with premeditated murder is still wanted.
The corps of 35-year old Davit Mumladze was found on the bank of Mtkvari river in Rustavi on October 5. He was stabbed 30 times. The family had been searching for him since October 1st.
