The trial of Nika Melia, a member of the United National Movement, will take place regarding June 20 case. The trial of the case will resume by the prosecution witnesses.

Melia's lawyer said that the witnesses at the trial would answer critical questions about how they identified Nika Melia among several thousand people.
Giorgi Kodakhishvili said that they are waiting for the decision of the Constitutional Court to restore Nika Melia's mandate as a member of the Parliament.
He thinks that the Parliament made a premature decision and had to wait for the verdicts of all instances.
Tbilisi City Court sentenced Nika Melia to GEL 30,000 bail on June 27, 2019.
Nika Melia is accused of committing grave crimes against the public security and order in connection with the events of June 20-21.
