
The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia has pressed charges against 12 persons for producing and selling fake certificates of COVID negative test results.
One of the accused individuals in Tbilisi sold two so-called COVID passports to a citizen for EUR 140 to help him avoid mandatory quarantine when traveling abroad. Also, the accused individuals produced fake certificates in the Imereti region to assist citizens whom they sold the certificates in avoiding coronavirus regulations.
A remand measure against the defendants has already been applied.
