The Prosecutor's Office has charged A.M. with premeditated murder in Marneuli, the agency's press service informed report.ge.
"An investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs revealed that on May 25, 2021, in Marneuli, on the ground of a dispute, A.M., who was drunk, revenged R.G. and stabbed several times in the chest and throat. As a result of the received injuries, R.G. died before being taken to hospital. A.M. was charged under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (premeditated murder), which envisages 7 to 15 years of imprisonment. The prosecution has already applied to the Rustavi City Court with a motion to detain the accused as a measure of restraint," the statement said.
