The Tbilisi City Court has sent the Skarpa Bar owner and the waiter to jail.
A prosecutor required that the defendants receive prison sentences.
Both defendants face the charges of appropriation of money and theft.
Investigators determined that the personnel in the bar were tasked by its owner to present foreigners with a changed menu and increased bills. Because of this, foreign visitors had to pay huge bills.
Reportedly, once in a bar, an intoxicated Chinese tourist lost consciousness, and they transferred as much as GEL 15,000 to the bar's account.
