The trial of the detainees, arrested at a protest rally near the Parliament on November 18, has not begun yet. 37 people were arrested yesterday. According to report.ge correspondent, the detainees left the pre-trial detention isolator, but they have not been brought to the Tbilisi City Court yet. The trial will begin after all thirty-seven detainees are present on the trial.
Representatives of the Shame Movement, other civil activists and politicians are supporting the detainees at the City Court.
The court should consider imposing an administrative penalty on the detainees. The lawyer of Goga Oniani, detained during the protest rally told report.ge he is going to file a motion to postpone the trial. According to the lawyer, due to lack of time they were unable to access the case file and obtain sufficient evidence.
