UNM leader Nika Melia's lawyer Giorgi Kondakhashvili says that today, they have received a letter in the party, saying that the Research Center for Development of Psychologists and its head Besik Bogveli are willing to post bond on Nika Melia's behalf.
However, in the lawyer's words, Nika Melia 'is set dead against' posting the bail.
''The organization and its head Besik Bogveli showed readiness to post the bail in the amount of GEL 40,000. I want to introduce you to Nika Melia's view: he is set dead against posting the bond and defines this initiative as the government's game,'' the lawyer said.
Law enforcement officers arrested UNM head Melia on 23 March, with special forces taking him to the penitentiary institution.
