Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov has expressed his concern over the fatal road accident that occurred on August 23 in Georgia.

In his statement on Facebook, he expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the accident.

He wished a 'speedy recovery' to those left injured.

"Very saddened to hear about the tragic road accident on the Shatili highway in Dusheti municipality of Georgia We express condolences to the families of those killed in the accident & wish speedy recovery to the injured. Our support & solidarity is with friendly People of Georgia!'' Bayramov's Facebook post reads.

A minibus fell off a cliff from about 80-meter height on August 23 at the Shatili road.

The accident claimed 17 lives and left three severely injured.
