The British Embassy Tbilisi has released a statement calling on the political actors to sign the agreement.

''Welcome progress towards resolution of the political crisis. Call on all political parties who have not yet signed the agreement to have the courage to do so, in the interests of Georgia’s citizens and the country’s continued Euro-Atlantic progress,'' the statement reads.

On 18 April, European Council President Charles Michel presented a new document to Georgian MPs, which comprises five points.

Georgian president Salome Zurabishvili said at the briefing in Orbeliani palace today that she will pardon Giorgi Rurua if the agreement is reached and the opposition enters the parliament.
