The bureau session is being held at the parliament, with it having been opened by Chairman Archil Talakvadze, who presented the representatives of the opposition with the chain and the lock which were used by activists to block one of the entrances of the legislative body. According to Mr Talakvadze, they are symbolic items indicating that left-wingers' every attempt to block the parliament's entrance will end in failure.
The issues MPs are now discussing at the session are unknown.
The representatives of different media outlets are not allowed to attend the session; however, the session is planned to be broadcast.
The bureau session was set to start at 15:00, but due to the fact that the entrances of the building had been blocked, the MPs failed to access it.
Special forces later dispersed protesters blocking the entrances of the Parliament. It is now accessible for everyone.
