Carl Hartzell: The level of polarization remains in Georgian political life, which is unfortunate

EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell assessed the election process and said that voters would be able to vote in a calm, safe and secure environment.

"This is a special day for any democracy. This is a day when politicians, commentators, thinkers should be silent, and voters should express their views at the ballot box. In the last few weeks and the last 24 hours, we have seen that the level of polarization remains in Georgian political life, which is unfortunate. One thing all political parties agree on is how important it is to come and vote today. So I hope and believe that today voters will be able to vote in a calm, safe and secure environment. I also hope that you, journalists, will be able to be safe and secure in the performance of your important work," Carl Hartzell stated.
