CEC session ends, second round of elections scheduled for 21 November

The CEC session has come to an end. The second round of elections will be held on Nov.21.

The CEC has rejected complaints by the opposition and the Georgian Young Lawyers Association (GYLA) at today's session.

It was emphasized that left-wing parties and the GYLA have one day to file a complaint against the decision.

The opposition demanded that election summary protocols be revoked, with the European Georgia party requiring that summary protocols be revoked in 30 electoral districts and the UNM in 29.

The CEC Commission members have discussed a total of 22 topical issues.

A closing session at which complaints were reviewed was accompanied by protests outside the building, with rally participants protesting against 'election fraud.'

European Georgia members also entered the building and demanded Tamar Zhvania's resignation.
