Tamar Chugoshvili, Irina Pruidze, Giorgi Mosiashvili, Dimitri Tskitishvili, Tamar Khulordava and Sophio Katsarava left the Parliamentary Majority. The lawmakers made the statement after the Parliament rejected the bill on proportional electoral system at the plenary sitting.

“We have no other choice but to leave both parliamentary positions and Majority. The failure of the constitutional amendments is a difficult issue, which my colleagues and I cannot take on political responsibility”, Tamar Chugoshvili stated.

138 deputies were registered for the first attempt, 139 deputies were registered the second time, 141 for the third attempt. 113 votes were needed for the amendments.
