UNM member Eka Kherkheulidze said that ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili stands ready for the meeting anywhere, and the church's position pleased him.
In Kherkheulidze's words, Saakashvili was glad to hear that the church wanted the meeting to be held in the patriarchate. However, he deems this technically impossible as he is behind bars, devoid of freedom.
According to the UNM member, if the said technical issues are resolved, the former president will be glad only. ''He is willing to cooperate at any location, whether it be the patriarchate, the presidential administration, or the Gori Hospital. He just wants the rift to be healed,'' Eka Kherkheulidze said following her visit to Gori Hospital.
