Former Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze elaborated upon her reasons for resignation.
''I thought I had made a rather clear statement at the party office; however, as it appears, some unanswered questions have been left. These questions have stirred up a scandal. Actually, though, we have no basis for scandals or confrontations. Nothing has happened. This was my decision about which I have been thinking for a very long time. In my view, the field over which one person presides for three years needs changes. Although as we now face the pandemic, I could not have left some tasks undone,'' Tikaradze declared.
