Ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili said in another note that the government is deliberately ''doing away with the club culture in Georgia.''
In Saakashvili's words, he has heard from lots of Ukrainians, Europeans, and Americans that Tbilisi and Batumi have the best nightclubs worldwide, with them being integral constituents of freedom culture.
''I express my solidarity with club staff and their representatives. One cool club must open in the State Security Service building after the State Security Service ceases functioning. I am not joking, people. You will soon witness these days,'' Saakashvili said in his note.
The Labour Inspection Service of Georgia has imposed a GEL 10,000 fine upon the Bassiani nightclub in Tbilisi for its refusal to comply with the coronavirus regulations. It has also sealed other nightclubs.
