A session on extending a state of emergency will supposedly be scheduled for 21 April, according to parliamentary majority leader Mamuka Mdinaradze.
"Today, we are entering a critical phase, and we have to succeed in passing through it; as you know our government, doctors, and the public have already gone through the rough patch once. Accordingly, I believe that the public must stand by the government so that we all together can get through these tough times with as minimal losses as possible. We have to minimize risks and contain the virus. Against this backdrop, the parliament will definitely support the initiative on the prolongation of a state of emergency," Mdinaradze declared.
PM Giorgi Gakharia has issued the statement on extending a state of emergency before 10 May.
