According to the Minister of Defense of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, the country has the necessary base to start military drone production.
According to him, the Ministry wants to produce military drones. The Minister notes that the country had and still has one of the most high-tech factories.
"A total of 20 countries in the world produce aircraft. Imagine that Georgia was once an aircraft manufacturer. It is a crime to have Tbilisi Aircraft Manufacturing company, managed by Delta, and not to use this potential. Based on this base and the people who are working here, we can arrange a production," Gharibashvili said on Imedi TV.
Gharibashvili also noted that one of the main directions in 2021 would be purchasing weapons - both operational-tactical and reconnaissance-combat drones.
