Georgian Ambassador Teimuraz Sharashenidze will return to Ukraine, Georgia’s Rustavi-2 TV channel reports.

As Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani said, while the situation around Ukraine is aggravated, Georgia’s Ambassador should be in place.

“Shortly, we will make a decision on the return of the Ambassador. We will do our best to ensure our relations develop dynamically and follow our strategic partnership,” Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani declared.

In his words, Georgia and Ukraine face many challenges.

On May 7, by the decree of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, the former President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili, was appointed chairman of the National Council of Reforms executive committee of Ukraine. After that, Ambassador of Georgia to Ukraine, Teimuraz Sharashenidze, was summoned in Tbilisi for consultations.
