Government's power to impose coronavirus restrictions on Georgia extended for a year

The Georgian government's power to announce COVID-19 restrictions in the country has been extended for a year, with 77 MPs approving the decision and four voting against it.

The ruling party says that the one-year extension was a must to manage the process.

The government can now impose coronavirus restrictions on the country before 1 Jan 2023.
