The International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) says that the internal audit has verified the results of parallel vote tabulation (PVT) methodology and the credibility of information provided by observers. However, a fault was detected in the vote calculation formula; more precisely, together with obtained votes, repealed ballots had also been counted after the election. The rectification of this fault changed the total percentage of received votes insubstantially, with this having no effect on mandates.

According to the organization, the 2020 parliamentary election is the lowest-standard election conducted lately.

The organization says that internal audit is a standard PVT procedure and comprises four stages:

1. An audit of observers' data;

2. Verification of the Protocol of Amendments;

3. An audit of calculation of the margin of error;

4. Verification of election day related data.

"The internal audit results verified the accuracy of the PVT methodology and the credibility of information provided by observers," ISFED says.

The ISFED published results of the PVT on 1 November. As the results had it, the Georgian Dream won 45.8% of votes, and the UNM 26.4%.

A Georgian Dream leader Irakli Kobakhidze said today that the party representatives held an online meeting with those of the ISFED to eradicate the said minor fault.
