“I welcome the important statement of Foreign Minister Zalkaliani, emphatically rejecting anti-Semitism and expressing solidarity with the Jewish people,” Israeli Ambassador to Georgia Ran Gidor says.
“We must all join forces in order to isolate and marginalize the extremists, the racists and the xenophobes,’’ he concluded in his Facebook post.
"Even the slightest sign of anti-Semitism will never surface in a Georgian's heart and consciousness," Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani wrote on social media earlier.
"Long-lasting friendship has linked the Georgian and Hebrew people, and by standing by each other, the two people have set the example for other nations worldwide.
