"I share your concern about the delayed judicial and electoral reforms, which are the essence of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement," a letter sent by High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell reads in response to a letter from representatives of the opposition parties that signed the Charles Michel Agreement.
"Special attention should be paid to the justice sector and democratic reforms. The primary responsibility lies with the government, but it is very important that the government and the opposition jointly contribute to the implementation of the reform agenda," mentions the letter.
He said the EU would continue to support ambitious reforms under the EU-Georgia Association Agreement.
"As reflected in the joint declaration of the Eastern Partnership Summit on December 15, the depth and scope of our cooperation will continue, among other aspects, at the pace and quality of reforms. The EU will continue to support ambitious reforms under the EU-Georgia Association Agreement," the letter reads.
