Tbilisi mayoral candidate Kakha Kaladze has thanked Georgian ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili for dealing a deadly blow to his party.
''I wish to extend a huge thank you to Mikheil Saakashvili as he succeeded in destroying his party before the elections. He has crushed it. We will see the rest on 2 October.
All this is a travesty, an attempt to mislead the public by making people believe that Misha is in Batumi,'' Kaladze declared.
Mikheil Saakashvili said in his video address earlier that he was in Batumi.
Before his video address, he said in his social media post that he was in Georgia.
However, after Report News Agency reached out to the MIA, it said that Saakashvili had not crossed the border of Georgia.
