Georgian Dream Tbilisi mayoral candidate Kakha Kaladze says that the government does not persecute people on political grounds.
In Kaladze's words, people are not made redundant in various institutions due to different viewpoints.
''You cannot name any person who has been subject to pressure. If pressure had actually been exerted, everything would have been decided in the very first round. Precisely this is our achievement _ we live in a democratic country and do not persecute people; no one loses jobs because of different opinions,'' Kaladze said, adding that if similar instances occur, they will respond to them accordingly.
