Dimitri Khundadze, a Majoritarian Deputy in the Parliament of Georgia, said that the process of collecting signatures has already started and soon an initiative will be submitted to the Parliament on a full transition to the majoritarian electoral system by 2020.
“I think this model is the best that can exist in the country. I also think there is nothing to be proud of that the country is transitioning to a proportional system from 2024. I, as well as many other deputies, think that when we backed this initiative, it was a mistake and I think it is time to make things right”, Khundadze said.
