Latvia's PM Arturs Krišjānis Kariņš has congratulated Irakli Garibashvili on his appointment as the Prime Minister of Georgia.
He remarked that the cooperation and long-term partnership between the Republic of Latvia and Georgia would continue.
"On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Latvia, I cordially congratulate you on your appointment as Prime Minister of Georgia. I am pleased to note that excellent cooperation and long-term partnership has been established between our countries in various fields for the benefit of our peoples," the letter says.
Kariņš also stressed that Latvia has supported and will continue to support Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders.
