Leftist leader says final decision to be made at political council meeting

"We will conduct a political council session tomorrow at which we will make a final decision," leader of Strategy Aghmashenebeli Giorgi Vashadze said after the meeting with the opposition at the Lelo office.

In Vashadze's words, the opposition will publicize its plan tomorrow.

"We are now waiting for the diplomats who should let us know when the fifth round of talks is held. Today, Mr. Kobakhidze's statement on the issues which we have discussed for a really long time aggravated the situation. His statement included proposals on recounting votes and other procedures," Vashadze said.

The fourth round of negotiations between the ruling and left-wing parties was held on 8 December. After the meeting, leftist leaders said that their position remains unchanged, and they refuse to take their parliamentary mandates.

The first session of the parliament of the tenth convocation will be convened in Georgia on 11 December. President Salome Zurabishvili will open it.
