Premier-designate Irakli Gharibashvili has unveiled a new Cabinet, with two changes introduced to it: Juansher Burchuladze will take the post of defense minister, and deputy minister Irakli Karseladze will replace infrastructure Minister Maia Tskitishvili.
Mrs. Tskitishvili said she gave up the post at her request. She thanked PM-designate Gharibashvili, former PM Gakharia, Bidzina Ivanishvili, and representatives of different media outlets.
"Irakli Gharibashvili and I have known each other for 15 years, and we have accomplished lots of tasks together even as early as when we served at the international CARTU Foundation. When Irakli Gharibashvili was an acting head of the government, I presided over his administration. I now asked him to allow me to return to my family and end these nine years in the public service by disengaging from politics," she declared.
