Mikheil Batiashvili, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia resigns. The Prime Minister of Georgia stated at the Government meeting.
Giorgi Gakharia thanked the Minister for his hard work. According to him, Mikheil Batiashvili resigns on the basis of a personal statement.
"We should thank Mikheil Batiashvili for the achievements we have made in sports and culture in recent years. The most important problems in our country are jobs, education and security, we will focus more on these three subjects. Especially the systemic education reform requires faster, more effective development and I am confident that the team headed by the Ministry of Education will continue to work effectively”, The Prime Minister said.
Mikheil Batiashvili has been the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia since July 2018.
