The third President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, calls upon Droa leader Elene Khoshtaria to end the hunger strike.
''I wish to address Elene Khoshtaria with great respect and gratitude for her heroic and patriotic move, without this being an overstatement and urge her to end her hunger strike posing a threat to her health on the basis of my decision,'' Mikheil Saakashvili's letter reads.
Politician Elene Khoshtaria declared a hunger strike outside the parliament on Nov 3. She demands Mikheil Saakashvili's transfer to a civilian clinic.
Ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili, who was detained on Oct 1, has been on a hunger strike for 42 days now.
