The third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, responds to the developments around the State Inspector.
Saakashvili calls on Londa Toloraia to publish the results of the preliminary investigation, as well as the full record of his transfer to Gldani prison.
"After the intervention of foreign diplomats, I was allowed to meet an investigator and an expert, and these were the first two real professionals I met after returning to Georgia and entering prison. The investigator asked precise and professional questions, inquired in detail about what and how it happened, and the expert found injuries on my clothes and body that I had not even noticed before.
Then, as I learned, the State Inspector questioned more than 150 employees and possible witnesses and interrogated me for a second time.
I express full confidence in the investigation of the state inspector, and I believe that everyone who helps to abolish it is the enemy of Georgian statehood," Mikheil Saakashvili wrote.
