Georgia's third president, Mikheil Saakashvili, says he is ready to meet with the fourth president Giorgi Margvelashvili. He calls on the government not to create obstacles for Margvelashvili.
"I am grateful for the proactive position taken by Giorgi Margvelashvili, and I am ready to meet him at any time to talk about ways to overcome the crisis and the future of our country.
I call on the government not to create obstacles for the fourth president of Georgia.
I also welcome the start of a dialogue between the leaders of the United National Movement and President Zurabishvili," Saakashvili wrote.
Giorgi Margvelashvili has applied to the Penitentiary Service, the Ministry of Defense, and the Ministry of Health with a request to visit Saakashvili. He explained in the letter that he wanted to discuss the "reconciliation process" initiated by President Zurabishvili with Mikheil Saakashvili.
Giorgi Margvelashvili has already met with the current President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, to discuss the issue.
