Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey: We have best relations

"We have the best relations with Georgia and Azerbaijan. We hope that our close cooperation and solidarity will be an example for all our neighbors in the region," Mevlut Cavusoglu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, said.

Mevlut Cavusoglu talked about the new Action Plan for Tripartite Sectoral Cooperation in 2020-202, which was signed today. Cavusoglu noted that the plan would deepen cooperation between Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey on practical issues and specific projects.

"We have agreed that we will continue to work on increasing the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway transport capacity. To increase the volume of trade, we need to harmonize customs procedures. We discussed the Trans-Anatolian (TANAP) and Southern Gas Corridor and decided we need to encourage our friends in Eastern and Central Europe to implement the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline project as well. These projects will ensure energy security and diversification of resources in the region and in Europe," Cavusoglu stated.

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, the leaders also reaffirmed their strong support for Azerbaijan and Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
