The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili spoke about the details of the meeting with the leaders of the opposition parties yesterday and confirmed that, among other issues, Nika Melia's case was discussed.
"The issues discussed at yesterday's meeting are the issues that are the subject of discussion by the opposition parties. I expressed my opinion about Nika Melia's release and said that we do not and cannot interfere in law enforcement.
Melia and his family have an opportunity to pay to bail him out at any time, and if it is in their interest to get him out of prison, so be it," Irakli Gharibashvili said.
