Droa party leader Elene Khoshtaria has decided to declare a hunger strike in support of Georgian ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili.
The politician says that her principal demand is the ex-president's transfer to a civilian hospital. ''After he is taken there, and doctors say he is safe, I will end the hunger strike,'' Khoshtaria said at the briefing.
Mikheil Saakashvili, who was detained on Oct 1, has been on a hunger strike for 34 days now.
