Giorgi Janjgava, the Georgian Ambassador to Turkey, stated that Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of Turkey, is expected to visit Georgia in May.

According to the ambassador, the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council will be held in Ankara in February of 2020.

"Giorgi Gakharia's visit in Ankara was followed by the Economic Commission, which was assembled for the first time after a 14-year hiatus. This was followed by the Prime Minister's visit at the opening of TANAP in the Edirne province. Turkey is not only our kind neighbor but also a strategic partner, which recognizes Georgia's territorial integrity and supports Georgia's NATO membership," Giorgi Janjgava said.

Tbilisi is hosting a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey.
