Salome Zurabishvili, the President of Georgia, proposes to engage in a dialogue between the opposition and the ruling party. President's press service released her statement.

"Salome Zurabishvili, the President of Georgia, responds to statements by international organizations and diplomats on the continuing dialogue between political opponents and will contact facilitator ambassadors of the dialogue to discuss the President's involvement," the statement said.

The Georgian Dream is offering the opposition to continue the dialogue. According to Mamuka Mdinaradze, the leader of the party, there is no other alternative.

After the Supreme Court upheld the verdict of Gigi Ugulava, one of the leaders of European Georgia, opposition party leaders refused to negotiate with the ruling party over the electoral system.

The Supreme Court found Gigi Ugulava guilty. The Court sentenced the former Mayor of Tbilisi to three years in prison for embezzling funds.
